Nice Going, Dickhead
I was wondering when this season’s run of moronic comments from NFL players would get under way. It’s shocking to me, frankly, that we’ve gone this deep into the season without some idiot landing himself all over the papers by making some kind of misogynistic or homophobic comment. Should have known I could count on Keyshawn Johnson to get the ball rolling.
Yep. Keyshawn said he’d like to spank Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver with a ruler, because he’s unhappy with one of her recent reports. Said it on some radio show. Keyshawn’s expressed some difficulties with the idea of women working as sideline reporters in the past, but he’s never before come out and said anything so hideously ignorant. (Or, well, chances are he has, but not on the radio.)
There’s not a lot one can say about such a thing. Because what do you say? Keyshawn’s an asshole? Everybody knows that. Keyshawn’s an ignorant asshole? Keyshawn pretty much just said that himself. The NFL is filled to overflowing with misogynists? Really? You don’t say. No shit.
Oh, I’ve got it. Since this idiocy seems to know no end, how about this: Here we go again.
